Brake Repairs – ABS Brake Service

Every Brake Service Includes A Thorough Inspection.

Inspecting the external condition of hoses and tubes for leakage or seeping. Any weakend hoses will be replaced. We also check for loose or broken brake shoe springs, worn clevis and cotter pins in the brake mechanism, as well as grease and oil leaks at the bearing retainer. Lastly we look for any leakage around the wheel cylinders.

Badly worn or scored brake drums and rotors should  be machined smooth. Cracked brake drums or over machined drums beyond the minimum diameter will need to be replaced.

 

Warning Signs You Need New Brakes

In addition to safety issues, ignoring small repairs can quickly lead to more serious and more expensive problems.

You should never ignore these signs. If your experiencing any  they are signs of wear and you should bring your car in for an inspection as soon as possible.

Brake Rotor Replacement

A brake rotor is a smooth metal disc attached to the wheel hub. Most new cars (1999 and above) come with rotors at each wheel. Older cars may have drums instead of rotors at the rear wheels . Brake rotors create  the friction between the brake pads that cause your car to slow down and stop. Rotors typically become warped  or thinned out over time.
